History & Folklore: pieces of this stone have been discovered among other artifacts of the Red Painted People on Maine dating back long before the year C.E 1000. Labradorite has also been found in some meteorites.
Ladradorite is grayish to black in color with blue and yellow, when it catches the light it shows off beautiful iridescent flashes of blue or gold which is caused by its thin plate shaped inclusions of other minerals such as magnetite.
