Moonstone is a variety of Feldspar - a lovely play of colors are exampled in Rainbow Moonstone showing off the mystical "schiller" or glow of color which is produced by interference effects off the crystal.
Magical / Lore: considered a perfect stone for women. Moonstone is the stone of "new beginnings". This stone is strongly connected to intuition and the moon. Similar to the moon the stone is reflective and reminds us that as the moon waxes and wanes so does everything in our own life cycle. Moonstone is said to promote intuition especially at the time of the full moon. Traditionally it has been used to enhance psychic abilities and to develop clairvoyance.
This set also contains a blank rune (additional stone with no stave carved on) also known as Odin's rune or the Wyrd rune - this is a modern day addition which some people prefer. If you prefer to stay with the more traditional feel of rune casting you can omit this stone from your castings.
